About the Artist
Canberra-based emerging artist Bethany Saab started painting with intention in 2020. A practicing psychologist, Bethany holds no formal training in fine arts – yet her work has quickly gained attention, entering collections across Australia and internationally.
Bethany has been exhibiting predominantly with Michael Reid Galleries since 2020.

Primarily still life, Bethany's paintings have been described as ‘intimate glimpses into personal spaces’ and as an example of ‘joyous expression’ through the use of pattern' (Peter Haynes, The Canberra Times, May 2021).

Bethany has been featured on the arts podcast Interview With An Artist, as well as appearing in The Design Files 'Emerging Painters you should know'; ArtEdit Magazine; Hunter and Folk Journal, The Australian Newspaper ‘Inaugural Summer Exhibition’, Real Living Magazine, Inside Out, Together Journal and House and Garden.
Bethany has also participated in multiple group exhibitions in Australia and was Finalist in the 2021 Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale online award, the 2021 Inaugural National Emerging Art Prize, was highly commended in the Agency Still Life Award 2022, and was a finalist in the Hornsby Art Prize in 2023.
